Unable to connect to world (Minecraft: Bedrock Edition)

Unable to connect to the world due to an error message that often occurs when there are connection issues between your Bedrock/Pocketmine client and your Aternos server. There is an easy way to fix this. In this article, we'll show you how to resolve the issue.

Check your server address again

The first recommendation is to verify that you are trying to connect to the correct server address. It's possible that you made a typing error when entering the server address or that you entered the wrong port. Please double-check this. The port can sometimes change. You can find more information on how to connect to your server here.

Use a custom DNS server

If your server address and port are correct, the issue can often be easily fixed by using a custom DNS server on your phone, such as Cloudflare's "1.1.1.1 Warp Faster Internet." You can easily download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store and enable it by simply toggling the switch after starting the app. Please note that on iOS, you need to allow the app to add a VPN profile to your device. If the app indicates that you are connected to 1.1.1.1, please try reconnecting to your server.
