Aternos, the largest Minecraft free server host, partnered with the team behind the Minecraft client Dawn. You can now control your server directly from within the launcher without needing to open the Aternos website. In this article, we'll give you a brief overview of this integration.
The Dawn launcher
The Dawn Launcher is a custom Minecraft client designed to enhance your overall gaming experience. It offers a variety of built-in features, including custom profiles, integrated cosmetics, and community tools, all accessible from a sleek and user-friendly interface.
Whether you are looking for performance boosts or a more connected multiplayer experience, Dawn provides an all-in-one platform for Minecraft players. With the new Aternos integration, managing your free servers is now a seamless part of that ecosystem.
The Dawn Launcher is completely free and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. You can download it directly from the Dawn website.

- Create a new server: Easily set up a brand new Aternos server directly through the launcher.

Clicking on a specific server from your list gives you full access to the standard Aternos controls. The interface is optimized to feel exactly like the website, but right inside your launcher.
Quick actions
- Start & stop: Boot up your server or shut it down with a single click.
- Join server: Once your server is online, the "Join Server" button allows you to jump directly into the game without manually typing the IP into your multiplayer menu.
- Copy IP: Quickly copy the server address to share it with your friends.
Autostart feature
If you or any of your friends join an Aternos server via the Dawn app, the server will start automatically without opening the Aternos website. This feature makes connecting faster and easier by launching the server in the background. Read more here.
