While you can create an Aternos account without an email address, doing so means you risk permanently losing access to your account if you ever forget your password. In this article, we will show you how to secure your account by linking or updating your email address.
We only use your email address to facilitate password resets and to send essential notifications about your server. We will never send you newsletters, advertisements, or promotional spam. Link an email address to an existing account
Linking an email address secures your account and allows you to easily recover your password if you ever forget it. To link your email:
- Navigate to your Account Settings.
- Locate the Email field and enter a valid email address.
Change your account's email address
The process for updating your email address is identical to linking a new one:
- Open your Account Settings.
- Delete your current email address in the Email field and type in the new one.
Lost access to your linked email
If you lose access to your linked email address and forget your login credentials (like your password), there is no way to regain access to your Aternos account.
