The MOTD (Message of the Day) is the text displayed below your server name in the Minecraft server list. It's a great way to welcome players, share updates, or give your server a unique look. Aternos provides an easy-to-use MOTD editor that lets you customize and style your message effortlessly. This article explains how to use it.
Creating your MOTD
You can customize your MOTD on the Options page of your Aternos server. Simply navigate to the "Options" page and find the MOTD field. Enter the text you'd like to display, and that's it. Your message will appear in the server list once your server is online.
Style your MOTD
To enhance the visual appeal of your MOTD, you can utilize Minecraft's color and formatting codes. Our editor provides a user-friendly interface that allows you to add color, change font weight, and much more. Simply select the word or sentence you wish to edit and choose the desired styling.
Using multiple lines
You can create a two-line MOTD by pressing Enter within the MOTD text field. This gives you more space to share information or add creative styling to your message. For example, you could use one line for your server name and another for the current player count or a welcome message.
