Cracked servers identify players by their username. This means that when you change your username, the server won't recognize you as the same player anymore. To keep using your player data with your new username, follow the steps in this article.
1 - Preparations
1.1 - Creating a backup
Before changing your player data, you need to prepare a few things. We recommend to start by creating a backup so can you revert to your previous state in case something goes wrong. This article explains how to do that.
1.2 - Join your server with your new username
For the next steps, it's important that you have joined your server at least once with your new username, so if you haven't done that already, please do it now.
1.3 - Shut down your server
For the next steps, your server will have to be offline. If your server is online, it might overwrite the player data files again and undo your changes.
2 - Changing your player data
2.1 - Downloading your old player data
To download your player data, first navigate to the player data folder inside your world folder. You can do so by clicking the files button next to your world in the worlds section and then clicking on the folder called “playerdata”.
Most files in this folder should have a blue box with the player name next to the file name, as shown on the screenshot below.
Locate the file with your old name next to it and click on the blue download button on the right side.
2.2 - Determining your new UUID
You might have noticed that the name of these files seem to be just a random combination of letters and numbers. They are a unique identifier for your player, which on cracked servers is generated based on your username, this is called a UUID.
To proceed, you need to find the UUID of your new username, so find the entry with your new name next to it and copy the name of the file.
2.3 - Renaming the player data
Now rename the file you downloaded in step 2.1 to the new UUID you copied in step 2.2.
If your system does not show a .dat file ending for the file you downloaded, then please don't add it, as otherwise the file will be called <your-uuid>.dat.dat and therefore won't be recognized by Minecraft.
2.4 - Uploading the new player data
Now upload the file you just renamed to your server files again. You can do this by dragging and dropping the file from your file manager to the folder on our website, or by using the upload button in the top right of our file list.
Since a file with the same name already exists, a pop-up asking if you want to replace it should appear. Click yes to confirm that you want to replace it:
3 - Other files
Your player data including your inventory, ender chest and position has been transferred now.
To transfer your statistics and advancements as well, repeat steps 2.1 through 2.4 for the stats and advancements folder.
