Suggesting new mods, plugins and modpacks

Aternos offers a library of mods, plugins, and modpacks that you can easily install on your server with just a few clicks. If you're missing a mod that you need, you can suggest it using our suggestion system. In this article, we'll explain how to submit a suggestion.

How it works

To suggest something for Aternos, you'll need to go through a few simple steps.  Follow the process in this article to make sure your suggestion can be reviewed and added successfully.

  1. Check the requirements
Make sure your mod, plugin, or modpack meets all requirements listed below before submitting.
  2. Submit your suggestion
Go to the suggestion form, enter the link to your project, and click Suggest.
  3. Wait for review
Our team will manually review your suggestion. This may take a few days or weeks.

Check the requirements

Suggestions must meet certain requirements to be considered for Aternos. Before you make a suggestion, please check if your mod, plugin, or modpack meets the requirements.

Supported websites

To suggest something, it needs to be available on one of the supported pages. Here you can find a list of the supported websites for mods, plugins, and modpacks.

Mods & plugins: Modpacks:
curseforge.com curseforge.com
modrinth.com modrinth.com
spigotmc.org technicpack.net
dev.bukkit.org feed-the-beast.com
poggit.pmmp.io atlauncher.com
Direct downloads Suggestions must be downloadable directly from a supported website. If the suggestion links to an external downloads page, it can't be added to Aternos. For example, if the download button for a plugin on spigotmc.org says "Download via external site", the plugin probably can't be added.

Popularity

Suggestions should have reasonable popularity before they are added to Aternos. If a suggestion was published only a few days ago or only has a few downloads, it won't be added. There's no specific required download count, it's a case by case decision that takes many different factors into account.

Activity

Suggestions should still be actively developed and receive updates regularly. If a suggestion has been discontinued or is only available for very outdated Minecraft versions, it won't be added.

Free

Some of the supported websites might offer paid mods/plugins. Only mods/plugins that are available for free can be added to Aternos.

Server files for modpacks

Modpacks must have server files available. These files are essential for us to run the modpack. Packs available on Modrinth and ATLauncher always include server files, but on CurseForge and TechnicPack, you need to verify whether the modpack has server files.

Detailed description

Suggestions need to have a detailed English description to be accepted. This can't be replaced by a YouTube video.

After making a suggestion, you can check its status at any time on the suggestion page. There, you'll find your suggestion along with its current status.

Reasons for a suggestion being denied

If we deny a suggestion, we will always give a reason for our decision. If you are trying to suggest a plugin/mod/modpack that was already denied, no new suggestion will be created. Instead, you will be shown the reason for our previous decision.
